Our Mission is simple:   Support for Our Military Personnel and Support Each Other

Welcome to North Carolina Blue Star Mothers!

We are mothers who now have, or have had, children honorably serving in the military.  We are a non-profit (501[c]3) service organization supporting each other and our children while promoting patriotism.  The Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. is authorized by the U.S. Code: Title 36; Section 943 as of January 26, 1998.

The Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. is a non-partisan, non-political organization.  We do not support any political candidate, nor do we endorse any religious organization.  The military represents all aspects of America as does our organization.

History of North Carolina Blue Star Mothers

North Carolina Chapter #1 began as a group of Army Moms some 9 years ago. The group banded together long before 9/11 or Afghanistan or Iraq. We came together through the Internet in a support group for moms with kids on active duty in the US Army. In May, 2002, a small band of the group traveled to Washington DC, for Memorial Day weekend. While there, we met and were welcomed by the National Officers of the Blue Star Mothers. They took us under their wings and showed us that we would make it through this life as a Military Mom. We now have members from every branch of military service in many states. God Bless Our Kids and Send Them Home Safe and Soon...........

North Carolina Blue Star Mothers has grown by leaps and bounds, where just a short while ago we were down to 5 members and 1 Chapter to now over 100 members and 7 Chapters across the state of North Carolina.  Our mission is simple - we support our Children and the mission they are doing.  Please visit our Who we are page to see how you can become a Blue Star Mother.

Send a Thank You Card

If you go to this web site you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services. It is FREE and it only takes a second. Do it many times.
